ABOUT Mr. Joseph Walls
Consultant Plastic & Cosmetic Surgeon
Mr. Joseph Walls is a highly respected and experienced cosmetic and reconstructive surgeon; specialising in the full scope of cosmetic surgery from face and neck lifts, eyelid and brow rejuvenation procedures, breast surgery to body and abdominal contouring.
His candour and sincerity is a welcome aspect in the bespoke consultations he offers to each patient. Mr. Walls is known for his passion and attention to detail in achieving impeccable results for every patient.
He qualified MB ChB from Liverpool University and upon completing basic surgical training, he gained his higher surgical MD degree in skin cancer diagnosis research at Cambridge University Hospital. Following a broad and extensive specialist training across the East of England, Mr. Walls was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons and inducted onto the Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery. Having come first in the prestigious national fellowship selection process, he has further undertaken nationally recognised fellowships in cosmetic and aesthetic surgery, and skin cancer management and reconstruction. He was the the skin cancer lead for the North West Anglia NHS Trust for nearly 10 years, with an extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of skin cancers, and in particular facial reconstruction.
In addition to his clinical practice, Mr. Walls has immense research experience and has published in leading journals and has presented his work both nationally and internationally. He is an invited faculty member on Plastic Surgery exam revision courses and regularly teaches higher plastic surgery trainees.
Mr. Walls is a board certified plastic surgeon on the General Medical Council (GMC) specialist register for Plastic Surgery. He is a member of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), the British Association of Plastic, Reconstruction and Aesthetic Surgery (BAPRAS) and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS).

Brow lift
75yo presenting with hooded upper eyelids. It was making her look and feel tired and older. Her outer eyebrows had also descended which contributed to the heaviness feeling. Patient underwent gliding browlift with a hairline incision and upper blepharoplasty. Excess skin was removed, along with shaping and removal of some upper eyelid fat pads. Postoperative photos at only 3 weeks, which is contributing to the mildly bruised appearance which settles with time.
59 year old, originally seeking upper eyelid surgery. She was having to manually lift her eyebrows to help with her vision sometimes. Her main concern was to look less tired. In this patient, a gliding brow lift was most appropriate to reposition the brows. The scar is hidden within the hairline and is not visible. Preoperative and postoperative photos taken just 4 weeks apart. There is minimal bruising and swelling in her case. She was very happy with the results.

Prominent ear correction
20yo male had been considering correction of his prominent ears for at least 2 years. He had tried conservative, at-home methods such as taping. Techniques used included reshaping of ear cartilage, removal of prominent cartilage and pinning the ears back. Photos taken pre-operatively and 3 weeks after.
18 year old, seeking bilateral correction of prominent ears. Techniques used include reshaping and removing cartilage; this is tailored to each patient's original ear shape. Mastopexy (Uplift)
33yo patient who had submuscular breast augmentations 4 years ago. She started going to the gym and lost weight. She also had animation deformity which is common with submuscular implants. She underwent exchange of the same implant from a submuscular pocket to a subglandular pocket with a mastopexy (breast uplift) at the same time.
